Stampin’ Up! demonstrators received a surprise in the mail from our company! It was this Level 3 Hostess set Time Well Spent from the new catalog, which will be out on January 2nd. I used this set to make this card for my BFF Shannon. Since Justin has started Kindergarten, we haven’t been able to get together as often as we did when he was in preschool and I wanted her to know that I miss her.

This is a really fun set to color. I used my SU! markers to do all of the coloring on this card. The sayings that go with this set are so cute!

Speaking of time well spent….

I have had a number of people email me to find out where I purchased my tile. To make it easier for those of you who may also want to know, I’m putting the information here. Here is the link to the site I purchased from:

The tile I selected is the Giorbello Tesserae Blends (Amber Glow) and the item number is G2733. Here is a direct link to the tile:

I tiled my kitchen backsplash!! Ok, I have to give a HUGE shout out to my tiling mentor, Eric, and his lovely wife Shannon. Shannon helped me find the tile online and was nice enough to spare Eric for an evening after work so he could show me how to do this. Thank you both SO much!!! I also have to thank my mom who set me straight on choosing grout color. Thanks, Mom, for always having the best ideas. And of course, I have to thank my husband who was my assistant while I was grouting and helped me clean up everything. I absolutely *love* how it turned out. I am really proud of myself for tackling this. I know to some people it would be second nature, but not to me. I am NOT a handy type of person. I’m also a perfectionist, which prevents me from doing things like this myself because I know I won’t do it as well as a professional would. It’s amazing what needing to save a little money can do for that problem, though! I couldn’t be happier with it. Oh, and grouting is a yucky, messy job!

I am sure by now you’ve all seen the retiring list from Stampin’ Up! (especially if you are one of my customers, since I sent this list out to you on Saturday), so I am not going to post it here. I was a little surprised by some of the sets on the list, Bundle of Joy and the alphabet sets in particular. I am also very sad to see Frosty go. He’s such a cutie!

I hope you all have a chance to have some time that is well spent this week! And by that, I mean playing with your stamps, ink, and paper!

    Hi there,
That’s a great backsplash, good job! My wife and I are looking for these same colors as we have new cabinets that are very close in color to yours. Since we live in a small city in Canada there’s little variety as far as choices go. Would you mind telling me the source website where you got the tiles from?

    Thanks, Blaine

I love your kitchen backsplash. That is exactly what I’ve been looking for in my kitchen, but I haven’t been able to find those colors in the small tiles. Where did you buy the tiles? Did they come in a 12×12 sheet?
I’m going to try to tackle my own tiling as well, so I’m really excited yours looks so beautiful.

Great tiles!!! I want to do the same…. I’m curious what color granite that is though…. I think i should do somethting like that too….. I was going to go for a lighter, but i like the contrast with the dark granite.

  14. Your website appears to be having some compatibilty problems in
my firefox browser. The wording appears to be running off the webpage pretty bad.

If you want you can e-mail me at: titus_maynard@gmail.
com and I will shoot you over a screen grab
    of the problem.
