I played with the bellas last night and I had so much fun. I love these stamps!!! I’ve already added a bunch more to my cart at Stampingbella. I hope you’ll check them out if you haven’t already.
I stamped the images with black staz-on. I used my SU! markers and also the ink pads with my Dove blender pen to color in the images. If you check out my gallery on SCS in a little bit, I’ll have these uploaded with all of the product information.
Since I do love me some Bellas, I’m thinking up an occasion to give away some more blog candy. I’m thinking I’ll do it when I hit 5,000 hits. That’s a pretty big number, so I’l have to come up with some pretty awesome blog candy. It will definitely involve the bellas!!!
Lynne Phillips! Lynne, please send me an email with your address and I’ll get this out to you this week! Thank you all for playing and please keep coming back. I promise I’ll be posting more cards and scrapbook pages in the coming weeks. As a future Stampin’ Up demonstrator, I will be doing lots of playing with stamps!!! I am also going to be giving away a Bella stamp (from stampingbella.com) for my next blog candy. If you haven’t become an “addictabella”, you should check out the website. They are too cute and Emily, the owner and creator, is very sweet and very funny. I’ve got a link to her site under favorite links!
I have been checking out all of your tips and techniques. Thank you all so much for taking the time to leave a comment. It really is helpful to me! I also want to thank those of you who are turning me on to other blogs out there. I’ve been adding them to my blogroll as I go through them, as you can see by my quickly growing list! An extra special thank you to Allison, who does an amazing job of providing all of us with links to the blogs that are offering up blog candy. I’m putting your name in the drawing an extra time for providing this service, Allison. Thank you, again!!!
I drove to class yesterday and took my midterm exam. The roads were miserable on the way in to St. Paul, but I made it without incident. I did see a man driving a very large SUV way too fast for the conditions spin out and go in the ditch. Maybe he’ll think twice before driving like a crazy man when the roads are slick again.
I am hoping to get some quality time with my Bellas this week. I am looking forward to playing with these adorable stamps. I’ve decided that my next blog candy giveaway will *have* to be a Bella stamp. I haven’t decided what the occasion will be for the next giveaway, but I’ll keep you posted!
Just a reminder that I will be doing the drawing for the blog candy tonight around 9:00 p.m. Central time. Get your comments in to win!!! I’ll announce the winner tomorrow morning right here on my blog!
I have seen some great blog candy giveaways in the past few weeks and decided I’d like to join in. To celebrate the fact that I’ve made the decision to become a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, I’ve decided to give away a little blog candy of my own. All you need to do is leave a comment for me telling me what your favorite stamping tip or technique is and why. If you can provide a link to a great website or blog you find inspiring (except those I’ve got listed on my blog), I’ll enter your name in the drawing twice. I will do the drawing on Monday evening, the 26th and will post the winner Tuesday morning. The blog candy consists of an alterable band aid tin, a new roll of checked black and white ribbon, a baggie *full* of various Prima flowers, an unopened classic stampin’ spot in Brocade Blue, a new package of Bazzill Really Big Brads in Heidi, and 6 chipboard coasters. I hope to see tons of comments!!!
I finished my cards for this month’s card club. Every other month, we make 16 cards of 2 different themes. This time the themes were birthday and our choice. I figured everyone can always use more thank you cards, so that’s what I went with. I feel like the birthday card needs something else in the scallop, but wasn’t sure what. I looked through all of my stamps, but couldn’t find anything to put there. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!! Here are my cards:
I’m glad I finished these, because I have my midterm for my cataloging class this Sunday, so I won’t be scrapping or stamping any time soon. I did get my Bellas in the mail last week, but didn’t have any Staz-On ink to stamp them with. I wanted to color them in with a blender pen and that doesn’t work so well with the classic SU! ink pads. I’ve ordered one from JoAnn’s though, so I’ll be stamping with my Bellas next week! I also ordered a bunch of Disney items, so I can start working on my son’s Disney trip book. I’ll try to post in the next few days, but I plan on spending most of it with my head buried in the books preparing for my midterm exam.
I forgot to mention on my post-birthday post what I received in the mail *on* my birthday. I did receive a few birthday cards, but I also received my membership card for AARP. Seriously! I wasn’t sure if I should laugh or cry! I actually thought my husband had set me up for it, but he didn’t. My mom and I had the same first, middle, and last name until I got married. I can only assume they somehow managed to confuse us. I know it wasn’t *really* meant for me, but it was a little slap in the face. Good thing I’m not freaking out about getting older. Hey, at least I qualify for the early bird dinner discounts at places like Perkins and Embers!
Since I felt I had to share that with you and since I also don’t have a new card or project to post at the moment, here’s a picture of my darling Maddie. How cute is she?!?!?!
I’d like to say she gets those gorgeous eyelashes from me, but she doesn’t. She gets them from her Daddy.
I thought I’d start out with a few pics of a couple of quick cards I made yesterday. My dh was sweet enough to buy me the small tag punch from SU! to go with the big tag punch I already have. Had to play with it right away!!!
In other news, I turned 37 yesterday. 37!!! It completely blows my mind. Maybe it’s because I don’t think I look or feel 37 (most days anyway). Maybe it’s because when my mom and dad were my age, they were getting ready to send me off to college and I’m getting ready to send my oldest to kindergarten! Craziness, I tell you! Here are a few pics from my celebration last night:
Justin and his grandma (my mom) made my birthday cake. It was delicious! And as you can see, Maddie was helping open my cards and gifts. It was a great night and I received lots of great gifts. Here’s a picture of one of the two bunches of flowers I received from my dh:
He also bought me a dozen roses, even though I’d asked him not to. I think it’s completely insane to spend $90-$100 on flowers that you could’ve gotten the day before for a third of the price. He got mine at a local grocery store and only spent $16.88. See, look how much more money I have to buy scrapbooking stuff now 😀 Besides, I’m starting to get anxious for spring and those tulips really brighten up the place!
